Vaseline & Aspirin Face Cream: Does It Really Make You Look Younger?

Social media is full of claims that mixing Vaseline with crushed aspirin can erase wrinkles, remove age spots, and make skin look years younger. However, there is no scientific evidence that this homemade mixture can produce those results.

If you’d like to try it, use caution and understand the potential risks.

Step 1: Gather Your Ingredients
Ingredients
1 tablespoon Vaseline (petroleum jelly)
1 uncoated aspirin tablet (325 mg)
½ teaspoon warm water
Important: Aspirin contains acetylsalicylic acid. It is not formulated for use as a cosmetic ingredient and may irritate the skin.
Step 2: Prepare the Mixture
Crush the aspirin tablet into a fine powder.
Mix it with the warm water until it forms a smooth paste.
Add the paste to the Vaseline.
Stir well until evenly combined.
Transfer the mixture to a clean, airtight container.
Step 3: How to Use
Wash your face with a gentle cleanser.
Pat your skin dry.
Apply a very thin layer to areas that tend to be dry.
Leave it on for 10–15 minutes.
Rinse with lukewarm water and apply a moisturizer.
Use no more than once or twice a week, and discontinue use if irritation occurs.
